Fedex can suck it STILL, but some relief...

I need to vent.

Erika records shipped the Johnny Vomit LP's last Tuesday to my street address, but the wrong town. I noticed this on the web tracking the next day. I called Erika, they called Fedex and did a change of address.

Since this can't be changed while enroute...they have to wait till it gets to its next sorting location. Now these records went from California, bypassed me in the west burbs of Chicago and went all the way to Indiana...to come back west???(the wrong town was near me)...that was this Tuesday a full week later.

All of Wednesday and Thursday the web tracking showed no movement outside of Indiana...but actually showed that it was moving from one town in Indiana to another?!??! And then BACK to the first Indiana town...

So I call Fedex early this AM and they tell me it shows it got put on the wrong truck and that its now moving towards me and they wouldn?t be surprised if it got delivered today.

I check the web tracking and it still shows no new information...so I call the phone number and see if I get a different story there...I do...

It tells me the package is enroute back to Illinois....to the ORIGINAL WRONG TOWN.

Fedex can suck it.

they suck
but they all do
dhl is great for ground but if you need next day or 2nd day, fogetaboutit
you were better off sending it ground it would have gotten there faster after they lose it for a day or 2
and ups is the brown devil
my hate runs deep for them and their overpriced lame ass service

It wasn't my choice...thats what Erika uses and it was fedex ground.

If it was just some bullshit I wouldnlt even care...but I dont want vinyl going from cold to warm to cold to warm to cold to warm anymore than it already has.

I'm glad this is my last release...this shits going to give me an ulcer.

Its bad enough I only pressed 500 albums...and got the lower quote from Erika for 500 instead of 1000....and they don't even tell you that they have to print 1000+ of the print matter regardless ( I know most printers have a 1000 minimum, this isnt the issue, Erika giving me a quote for 500 is.)...then Erika just ends up charging you for the other half as an unmentioned "overage" charge in the end.

Now I have 500 extra Johnny Vomit jackets and like 800 extra inserts...

Damn that sucks. And Fedex is the worst, UPS I've had the least amount of trouble with, USPS has fucked up a lot. Never used DHL.

And the JV is the last release for NGS Records? That sucks you've put out some awesome shit. Might as well let you know the review for that CD is done and should be up later tonight.

See...I hardly ever have problems with USPS other than the spawn of hell hagmeyers working the counters...never really use UPS but I live in a condo and they wont hardly EVER leave package so I gotta drive like 30 miles to pick it up on the far northwest side of Chicago. DHL always seems good for def-star...I think they all suck in their own way...its luck of the draw really.

...and yes, its ngs 10 and a good point to throw in the towel...i'm burnt out...too much money going out, not enough in. I've been wanting to do somthing with JV ever since NGS 1...just never materialized, so its the perfect ending for me.

On a sidenote, if anyone ships through UPS, I would recommend insurance on fragile items. After working there a few weeks I saw some heinous shit done to packages since they are so understaffed and backed up.

yeah...its like all the different places i post...I'd have to wait 3 years you get the "acceptable" amount of posts to drop an ad.

I mostly just wanted to see if Hank reads it because like three times hes mentioned Johnny Vomit to a crowd of blank clueless faces when hes in Chicago...I dont even know where he got the CD. He mentions the disturbing the Peace, midwest comp I did...so Hanks one of the 7 people that have a copy of it, hahah

He does read the board.
He made a post last year looking for the label that Insult II Injury was on...he was asking about the vocalist I think...he was directed to NGS records.

Just seeing how those guys handle freight around Xmas time is enough for me to want insurance. I used to have to refuse smashed items from them at my old job and them dudes didnt take it all too well.

since this is my defacto journal of this strange and mystic journey known as fedex delivery....

As of this morning, 3 boxes of 50 records each were still missing...1 just came...with a new tracking number...because they had to repackage one due to A DAMAGED BOX WTF....

So I just called fedex again to be informed that another one of the three was out for delivery today...

"so you're coming to my house twice in one day"

"no..."

"well you were just here with this package we're talking about being repacked"

"that cant be right then."

holy mother of fuck.

I was also told one of the boxes was in Indiana....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA!!!!!
