Taxes are weird...
Me and my fiance work at the same place, she worked there all last year and I just started in august so she made about $14,000.00 dollars more than
me, that is the only income we filed. We both filled "0" on our deductions (or whatever the heck they are) and I ended up getting a bigger return
that her...
I am getting about $100.00 more than her...
It baffles me...

she would be in a higher tax bracket than you and would likely pay a slightly higher percentage, hence her smaller refund.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

^^^^ what he said.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Yah... the less you make the more you get back. Because the less you make the less they expect you to be able to pay.

Like a few previous posters stated, the amount you make puts you into different tax brackets and in addition to that, the number of exemptions plays a
factor as well. The less you take, the more your weekly take out is. Then, when you file your 1040, that amount cuts down your yearly liability. It's
pretty much when you want to pay. I never take any exemptions so I always get some cash back from the yearly filing.
