How's the singer change workin on the new record? That's what I'm most concerned about.

I was wondering the same thing. Chic hasn't been around in months.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

new singer sounds good, i saw them a few months ago and he did pretty good, but he sounds good on the album, not the same as the original guy but still good, lots of gang vocals too

never heard this band. Maybe I have but not sure.

Just got my hands on this... other than the vocals it doesn't sound all that different from the last record. But I like it on first listen.

I never REALLY got into them. I didnt like the first record that much when I first heard it, then I liked it a bit, then I didnt care for it much again. I put it away for a long while and revisited it again but still didnt care for it. Ive seen them a bunch of times and they're fun, but they just dont have that something that does anything for me.

and the one song I heard from the new album I didnt really like too much.

Got it, might burn it to listen on the train soon since they are coming back down here with SOIA soon, might as well try to enjoy their set by actually previewing shit first.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

am a bit disappointed because the records is certainly more metallic and screaming than previous releases, .... maybe the influence of the new singer.

i think that the new singer was one of the guitar players, and now they have a new guitar player to replace him since he switched over.

Yeah, he was the singer for Figure Four but played guitar for CK until now.

I got into them completely by accident, they were on at Hellfest before NRSV (I was helping them set up) and I saw all the singalongs and was like "who the fuck is this band?"
