SLAPSHOT - First U.S. show in years!

Significant Fest this year will be Friday 6/29 and Saturday 6/30. It will again be held in the back part of 688 Skatepark in Clearwater, FL. Here is the lineup so far (as was the case last year, expect this lineup to change):

Slapshot (that's right, the Boston legends will be headlining Saturday 6/30. Only Southern show this year.

108-will be using Friday 6/29 as one of their 3 cd release shows for their new cd on Deathwish!

Those are the only 2 bands with specific dates set. The rest of the bands so far:

TAEA
Now Soldiers
Haunted Life
Pound For Pound
Time And Space (members of Van Damage)
Anchors Away
Trample
Kids Like Us
Make Or Break
Gator Bait
Braindead
Evasion

Yet another tease. Slappy's been one of my favorite bands since I first heard 'em back in the 80's and I've never gotten to see 'em. They had supposedly scheduled an Austin show many years back, but it was cancelled and never rescheduled.

Oh, and it cracks me up that they're playing a fest with 108, even if on different nights...

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

That Braindead band, if they are indeed the one from the UK, are awesome.

HOLY SHIT!!!! The wife and I should hopefully be living in Tampa, FL by then so I'll be there. Haven't see them since that show at Coney Island High (NYC) in '95. This is awesome.

I was recently emailing Choke trying to get him to come to Toronto. Ain't gonna happen.
