This may come off like I'm a giant racist or cocksucker. I don't mean it that way at all. I will bet that someone gets shot at one of these shows.

I would actually go to this if it were anywhere nearby. I fuckin' LOVED PE when I was in high school. PE, BDP, and a very few other groups of that sort were on just as heavy a rotation on my stereo and in my car as any Punk and HC stuff back then.

i love me some PE. I bought "It takes a nation..." when it first came out and me and my stepbrother wore that tape out literally. back when you had to ask for the "rap tapes" from the record store. they'd bring a little shoebox from behind the counter and we'd look through them. stores didn't wanna stock the stuff. That album was so ahead of it's time it's crazy. "yo bum rush the show" was great but the second album was always my favorite. i missed them when they played here back then. i wanted to go so bad, but i lived a few hours away then and my parents wouldn't let me. i'd go see them in a heartbeat.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

You must not know anything about Public Enemy to make such an ignorant statement bro. PE's not your bullshit gangsta rap gayness where dudes have gotten shot... PE brings some knowledge in their raps.

Walking home from school in 9th grade I got beat up by 4 guys (black and hispanic) because I was a white kid with long hair wearing a Public Enemy shirt. As pissed as I was I found it ironic because of the PE message of anti-violence. keep in mind this was quite awhile before the Anthrax/PE colaboration.... I was just a head of the times. :)

they beat you up cause you were a white boy with long hair in the wrong place at the wrong time....

and gangsta rap fans don't even get into p.e.

It wasnt a 'wrong place' maybe a wrong time, but no one else was around and I was walking home from school only about a block from the school. A truck drive pulled up and got out and chased the guys away with a crow bar. All I remember is thinking... wow this sucks and falling down while they yelled 'stupid white boy' and pulled at my shirt.

I clearly am. I'm not a fan in the least. Hence me initial statement of coming across like a cocksucker. From what I have seen, I have very little faith in Flava Flav. Chuck D seems like a very smart dude. I was just stating how I felt. I'm not saying the band is going to do something. That's great that they bring the "knowledge" doesn't mean their fans do. Shit, we see people getting shot at HC shows now too.
