Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductions
Anyone watch this last night? It was on VH1 Classic live...it was over 4 hours long with no commercials. Van Halen got inducted and it was so
awkward and shitty...only Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony showed up. Velvet Revolver played "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" and Scott Weiland sucked so damn
bad at singing it, I almost cried. Then Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony came out and did the ultimate douche anthem "Why Can't This Be Love". Just
shitty.

I didnt see it, but I heard Eddie is in rehab again. Alex wasnt going to go without Eddie. David Lee said that there was no reason for him to be there
if Scott Weiland was going to sing the songs. I assume that IF they would have all showed up there would have been a performance by Van Halen as...
Eddie, Alex, Wolfgang (bass) and David Lee.

Velvet Revolver absolutely sucked, their performance was disgustingly bad.
And Sammy & Mike with Paul fucking Shaeffer? Oh god no.
So pathetic that they were the only ones there too... just fuckin sad for a band with so much history and influence to be inducted and have it turn
out to be such a non-event... wack.
At least Patti Smith did Rock & Roll Nigger... between that and Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five I'm sure some people were pretty uncomfortable in
the spot.

did she? I fast forwarded through a lot of her segment. How about Jay Z reading his speech off his Blackberry? I thought that was funny although he
seemed like he was too cool for the room.

I was never a Patti Smith fan, but between the choice of songs and the fact that her segment name-checked both CBGBs and the Stone Pony, I thought she
was the highlight of the show.

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five sounded like shit from what I saw. From what I understood was that David Lee Roth was going to play with Velvet
Revolver and he wanted to do "Jump" but they wanted to do a tune from the Kinks that Van Halen covered and DLR was like "meh, what's the point?"

fuck VAN HALEN anymore.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
