Welch Boys shows...

?? This Sunday, March 18th, The Welch Boys will be opening for the Dropkick Murphys at Avalon. The show is an early show, and the Welch Boys will take the stage at 6:00 sharp. If you have tickets to the show, make sure that you show up early. Doors are at 5:00. Unfortunately, the show is sold out.

? We are also playing Sunday April 1st at the Abbey lounge in Sommerville. The show is? 21+ and starts at 9:00. The lineup is Death and Taxes on the pub stage (acoustic)? Guns on the Run, Des Kontrol ( from Spain) The Welch boys, and The Blue Bloods ( headliner)

?? We have been invited to play the 29th annual WBCN Rock and Roll Rumble this year. We are the first band out of four to take the stage. Our set time is 9:00 on Friday April 6th at Harper's Ferry in Allston . Please mark your calanders for this show, as we could use the support of everyone this night.

? Lastly, The Welch Boys episode of cable tv / internet tv show Sonic lobotomy has completed shooting. The show is being edited, but you can take a sneak preview of our new song "Pete Townsend" at??? http://www.immaconmovies.com/tset

The Welch Boys, PieTasters and Dropkick Murphys show was great last night. The crowd was VERY into the Welch Boys. They sold almost 30 CDs and they basicly SOLD OUT of shirts! All that was left ere 2 smalls, 2 mediums and some girly shirts. It was a MAJOR success merch wise and the crowd was really into them while they were playing.

PieTasters sounded good, but they didnt really fit the bill that well. Throwing a SKA band to that crowd was risky!

The Dropkicks sounded good. Im not a huge fan of them, but they covered a Pogues song and they covered Alcohol by GangGreen (which is one of my favorite songs of all time) and that was cool.

I would have loved to have seen that show. I really want to see Welch Boys live and it's been a few years since I last saw DKM.
