H a r s h T i m e s
You have to see this movie.
I dunno what it is but the best movies, IMO, the ones I love the most or mean anything to me are always random ones that I download or come across,
and not ones I've seen previews for or anything or planned to see...
Anyone else get this or just me??

It blew chunks. About some war vet who goes around like a gang banger with his loser buddy. Then takes a trip to bring his Mexican lover over the
border. Unrealistic fiction............that dude from American Psycho is in it. I couldn't get to the end.....
IT SUCKED!

Hah whatever.
It wasnt that unrealistic to me at all, the acting was suberb and those government suits seemed pretty real to me in their manner of things.
Meh.. everyone has their own taste.
I know people like the main character... so I could relate.

The main character was good, I agree. Christian Bale does a great job and hooks me in 1/2 way through, but that whole trip to Mexico made me lose
interest honestly. I also watched it with my wife, so she complained all the way through. I may give the end a second look......

I think women can't appreciate a movie like that, its not their lifestyle... they can't relate at all. And I have never known any to look at anything
objectively.
I found that the lines in this movie were well written, to me seemed more realistic and chill like how I am with my friends and not like I am seeing
some movie. For example when they were on the rocks in mexico thats exactly what it would be like for me only without the drinking because I don't
drink but I'm saying like the conversation they were having. I agreed with his two friends, its just a story of a guy who couldn't get his shit
together when he could have had something great, a struggle of sacrifice in that he had to deal with the wanting to have a wife thing, then the
pregnancy, and how he dealt with it was the problem by getting fucked up all the time and losing his shit, and what with the emotional trauma from the
war, but he played the part really well. I know someone who came back from Iraq and hes fucked like that... seriously, almost exactly the same
character.
But anyways, I find watching movies alone allows you to fully appreciate it in your own way without having someone else's corrupted thoughts and
opinions about it in your face ruining it. Because then if you go and watch it again alone even now you have thier bitching or thoughts in your head
and you are trying to compare yours with theirs so you arent getting a clear thought process.. your own.
Anyways, peace!
