party at ground zero....

Fishbone, the iconic funk-punk-ska-metal band that helped create the L.A. alternative rock scene that spawned bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction, are poised to release their first new album in six years and have announced the first set of dates for a tour of the U.S. and Canada.
The band kicked things off with a typically amped-up show March 31st at the Malibu Inn, in California. The tour gets rolling in earnest with a pair of dates April 15 and 16 at Buffalo Bills in Whistler, B.C. and the band is scheduled to bring the party to more than 20 cities including Austin, New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Denver and Seattle through April and May. Additional dates are anticipated in the future.
Fishbone's itinerary also includes an appearance on the Rocks Off Concert Cruise in New York May 3 and three dates on the California leg of the Vans Warped Tour - August 23 in Fresno, August 24 in Sacramento and August 25 in Los Angeles.
Still Stuck in Your Throat, which is due to drop April 24, is Fishbone's ninth album and will be released on indie-label Sound In Color. The group is describing Stuck as "a furious return to the band's true roots."
The album reunites the band with producer David Kahne who handled the boards on some of the band's most popular releases including Fishbone, Truth and Soul, and The Reality of My Surroundings.
Fishbone enjoyed a renewed surge in their fan-base last year through several high profile appearances including as the house band in OutKast's "Idlewild" and the band in the video for Christina Aguilera's song "Ain't No Other Man."
The band also received critical and popular acclaim for their cover of Sublime's "Date Rape," which was the featured single from the album Look At All The Love We Found: A Tribute to Sublime.

I never got into them but I do like what I have heard. One of those bands I never took the time to really listen to. I like that shit they put out in the very late 80's

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

the early stuff was some of the best skacore ever
then they went more funk and mainstream but it was still good
I just hope they get back the heavy edge
the first ep was a true masterpiece

I like all their shit, can't wait for this one. No-one liked Chim-Chim's Badass Revenge? That album is funny as hell.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?
