I hate computers.
My home PC is cashed.
Woke up yesterday morning to a dimly lit monitor....figure maybe the machine powered down so I restart.
Can't start windows, can't start safe mode...can't do anything.
Things 4 months old. Called gateway up and one of their delinquents walked me through a failed operating system install which halted halfway but once
restarted seems like it works? However...can't get my internet to work, all my antivirus is gone (was installed at circuit city so I dont even have
the damn boxes) my drivers for my vid card are gone...its basically an $800 boat anchor now.

I assume its a desktop......If you lived in NY, I could probably fix it......

Circuit City warranty is just basically hardware...even the extended...but it doesn;t even kick in till AFTER the manufacturers warranty....which is a
year.
Gateways waranty=some person on a phone telling you how to fix it yourself, being clueless and letting you fuck it up....which is where I'm at now.

What he said. The only reason I didn't get a Mac is cause I could use my boss's Best Buy card... and stupid me didn't even hold out for the '07Vista
models... now I'm running a late 06 waiting for my free Vista upgrade from Gateway.
