Alright I figured it out so its less invasive and they dont sell your shit to marketers.
Sign up with as little information as possible.
Go to Privacy in the top right corner, then click Facebook Platform. Uncheck everything there then save it. Then go edit your profile & add
information. If you already joined you can uncheck the shit anyways.
Also join the group Hardcore 101. Do it.
