Spiderman III
Anyone else seen it yet? I just got back... it was really good, but not up to my expectations.
More review once everyone that cares to has seen it!

I saw it midnight last night.... I really enjoyed it. Some parts were a little hokey but I expect that... for chrissakes you're talking about a kid
who gets powers from a radioactive spider and a guy who gets turned to SAND... reality is already out the window.
I think people's expectations are always too high for flicks like this. It wasn't utter shit like Daredevil or Fantastic Four, but it wasn't
mindblowing like the first Spider Man or X-Men flicks. Just a fun flick.

I just have trouble seeing Topher Grace as Venom. He's too puny.

just got back from the drive in double feature, spidey 3 and ghost rider....
spidy 3 was okay, the tone was darker, and it was well written, but the execution was so-so
venom was better then expected... and I don't know I like that they have a lot of room to bring in more characters later, and it's some what loyal to
comics
I just don't know if they are going to make anymore of them
ghost rider, well.... some of the demon effects were okay
2 movies for 6.00 can't bitch, even if one was a total fucking turd
bring on the transformers, if it sucks I will be so pissed
also pirates 3 looks better then I thought
I can get into all out pirate warfare....

I heard a lot of bad and mixed reviews...definitely worth seeing just because its Spiderman but expecting it to live up to the first one or even
second will lead to a letdown.

the first 2 we very different and I think the critics went in expecting the same ole feel good super hero film
but the idea behind the black costume and venom are very dark and to be honest there is no real happy ending to this one
as there shouldn't be
the first 2 were to establish new beginings in peter parkers life
the first becoming spiderman the second his love for MJ
this one sees that all crumble
was it rushed and not as well developed as it could have been, yes, but they gotta put the eye candy action in and not be as dark as they could
have.... not the best spiderman, but still as a comic film it's still better then a ton of the crappy comic movies to come out...

Yeah, it seemed a bit rushed. I would have loved more time with Venom and Goblin... I care far less about Sandman. I was skeptical about Topher
Grace... but when the symbiote gets him, he IS Venom. No doubt. The execution of the Venom effects were intense. Like when Peter's tearing off the
black costume and hit runs into the bell and that thing just jumps off him and SCREAMS! Awesome.
It was kind of like X-Men 3, though alot better. But they were just trying to cram a bunch of Spiderman lore into it and I think that hurt it a bit.

Does Sandman get much time in the movie? I always loved that character.

I think he gets more screen time than goddamned Venom. I have to say, I expected him to look like shit but he was solid. Unfortunately, there was too
much dicking around in this film and not enough delivery. If I go to see a popcorn summer movie then I expect bang for the buck. Not a shitty story
about nonsense.
One of the few high points was Bruce Campbell's cameo outdoing the first two.

Just saw it myself. I thought it was pretty good although there definitely were some slow moments and cornball shit like the whole Saturday Night
Fever strutter scene, but at least they made it obvious that it was supposed to be ridiculous. It was also kind of annoying that when Peter was
supposed to be looking like a "bad boy" he gave himself an emo hairstyle. I did like that they brought in lead up roles for future characters like The
Lizard. And by the way, how friggin' hot was Gwen Stacy?

Gwen was fine. Would it have been weird for them to just up and kill her like she died in the comic? Snapped neck at the end of Spidey's web-line?

her name.
