The Godfather (and other 'classics')
I got The Godfather from Netflix last week and I've tried to watch it a few times and I just cant get into it. I feel like there is something wrong
with me because I know its a classic and I know a lot of people that have opinions that I value that say its an amazing movie.... but I just get bored
with it.
Anyone else have this problem with older 'classic' movies?

Hmmm...I can't relate....I could watch Godfather I-III, 24 hours a day. The fact that GFIII doesn't measure up to I and II doesn't change the fact
that it's still an amazing movie.
GF I is the greatest movie of all time.

It's definitely more story driven than more recent mob flicks which are alot more action oriented. You have to be willing to commit to watch this
series, but it's worth it if you do. On that note, I just rented Smokin Aces this weekend and it was fuckin rad! Check that flick out

I have Smokin' Aces in my Netflix que so Ill be seeing that soon!

Godfather 3 is terrible.
The first 2 are golden.
I tried watching some old stuff a friend lent me like Rosemary's baby and stuff and couldnt get into it.

GF 3 sucks. I have only watched 1 and 2 a couple of times. I beleive 2 is my favourite.

I was never really into the Godfather either. Not something that tops my list of must watch flicks.
There was some Irish movie poll that came up with results saying men watch the Star Wars trilogy more than any other movie.

I think using sucks for GF III is a strong adjective. You'd rather watch Bio-Dome or I know what you did last summer?

I agree completely. Boring as shit. Any time I tell someone I'm not really a "movie guy" and they ask "well what do you mean?" I tell them I hate
the Godfather and they immediately know what I mean.

never seen any godfathers, i only liked parts of taxi driver, mainly the lines that bfb took as their intro, the movie itself wasnt that exciting to
me
