GG Allin and ANTiSEEN

Probably the single greatest fusion since chocolate and peanut butter.

Or freshly dropped poop and a audience.

Actually I don't see it as an ANTiSEEN album at all. Without Clayton singing its essential a GG album with his greatest backup band ever.

Seeing Clayton sing on that GG death tour was also pretty amazing.

I hate GG more than any other much loved punk icon ever. His music is crap, he is a piece of shit. Which I understand is the whole point. I guess once I heard that song Younge Little Meat I found it hard to like a guy that sings about rapping a underage girl. I was very happy when he died. It was funy to me.

A completely understandable point of view. The first time I heard the song "Ten Year Old Fuck" it threw me for a loop. I think it's because he was so over the top that makes me enjoy some of his stuff.

I read an interview with Jeff Clayton once where he pointed out that the public GG and the private GG were two very different people, and that GG was the nicest houseguest he and his wife ever had. GG onstage wasn't necessarily the GG you would know if you were his friend.

check out some early GG Allin records. The first album is flat out great.

I've heard the same. I used to work with his ex-sister in law and she would tell me how he was such a nice guy. He used to pick her up from the YMCA afterschool and they would hangout and just have fun. She even brought in some pictures of the wedding between GG and her sister and GG is all nice and cleaned up in a suit and bow tie. I tired to get the pictures from her so I could scan them in and show you guys (this was about a year ago) but her sister thought I would steal them and try to sell them on ebay...

I'm not a GG fan,but I do like his Carnival of Excess country album.I never cared to much for the ANTiSEEN/Murder Junkies album either, but Jeff Clayton fronting the Murder Junkies live is one hellava combo.I got to see them live last year, and it was a great show.
ANTiSEEN is in my top 3 favorite bands.

As much as I like GG, I never really liked the work with the Antiseen.

My preferred Antiseen is the song they did about Terry Funk.
