incredibly foolish lawsuit

http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6846710?MSNHPHMA

So his son (Pitcher for the STL Cardinals) is drunk and dies in a car accident that is entirely his fault and he thinks he should sue people.

What a fucking piece of shit.

oh my god, that article is amazing.

in some states, i think he could have a case against the restaurant, but this bit about driver of the stalled car and the towtruck is nuts. oh, never mind the drunk/cell phone/no seat belt part.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

And don't forget the weed that was found in the car.

True about the restaurant, but it may be the case that other people were ordering drinks and just handing them to him... so they may not have even been serving him (not sure about the legality though).

In any case, guy does stupid shit... guy dies... family feels the need to blame someone (anyone? everyone?) else. Bullshit. But I do love how a slow tow truck driver is somehow more responsible than the drunk & stoned guy on the cell phone with no seat belt.

That guy is a fucking asshole. I don't know about the US law system, but in Canada the bar could possibly held liable. If they continued to serve him knowing he was intoxicated and allowed him to drive out of there, than they've broken the law.

To blame a guy whose car stalled, and a tow truck driver who stopped to help him, is fucking bullshit. Trying to shift the blame isn't going to bring his son back, nor is it going to alleviate his sons wrongdoing.

The one thing that really got me about this dude and his family was they were asking for donations. Are you serious, the dude played pro ball, his family is better off than most.
