Slapshot shirts (good news & bad news)
OK.... I know everyone has been waiting to hear what the deal with the Slapshot shirts is. Well, I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that all 4 shits (Misfits rip off, Danzig rip off, classic mask & hardcore evil) will be printed by Def-Steve.
The bad news (for now!) is that only enough shits for Florida will be printed.
So... since everyone wants shirts the best way would be to get someone going to the show to buy it for you. I know wat least one person on the board
is going so get on him and send him money!
The other possibilty that Im trying to get Slapshot to do is to start selling shirts online. If that happens then after the show any left overs and
possibly some newly printed shirts would be for sale either from me or from Def-Star.

So... If Steve is doing the screens for the shirts, would Steve take our money if he ran off a few extra (In an XL?).
If no, than my next question is the same as Diablo's/

the problem with that request.....
if I did that those shirts would be bootlegs, and I am not down with bootlegs.
I have tons of art from tons of bands that I could make money off of, and never give the bands a dime, cause they wouldn't know shit about it....
but that money would never be able to rebuild my reputation and for me to fuck up what I have spent so long building would be fucking stupid for a
couple of dollars here and there on a bootleg...
It's not like I don;t waht you guys to have the shirts, but if slapshot only wants to make 50 of each, it's up to them...
maybe they want them to be ebay gold, maybe they only want those "true fans" to have them, but I can't fuck up
it has taken me years to get where I am and it would take only 1 mistake for my rep to be gone....
the hardcore community is impossible to get props in but everyone will drag your name thru the mud if you give them a chance, so I gotta stay legit..
sorry guys...
if the band decides to do a webstore with us you'll be the 2nd to know it

This does NOT make me happy. I completely understand how Honus' and Steve's hands are tied on this, but it really sucks that the band doesn't want to
make these shirts more available. The only official Slappy shirt I've ever gotten my mitts on was the one B9 was selling and that got bleach on it.
This has been one of my favorite bands since high school and not only have I never seen them, but I can't even get merch.

unless there are some contractual issues, OR they really do want to limited editions, this honestly doesn't make sense. not the bit about not
boolegging; obviously that's not gonna happen.
but the screens are already on the press... let me buy two dozen mixed sizes of the oldschool mask shirts at retail price, paid directly to the band,
then i'll pay steve to ship them to me. they'd all go to thorp board members and friends.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I can't understand a band not wanting to sell as many shirts as possible. If there's a demand then fill it. Not everybody has the time or the means
to make it to Florida for a single show.

I could only do it if the band approves of it....
you guys know how I am
I would give them away if I could....
but what good is it for a band to play 1 show a year....
they don't seem motivated by the money they could make...
so I guess that is honorable, or they are just trying to create something larger then they are by only playing 1 show ayear and printin 50 shirts,
ooohhh you better not miss it, kind of crap....
hard to tell, but honus is the contact guy for the band for me...
if he says do it and I get paid for it, the shirts get done....

Where are the designs for them. I want in on them, but not sure what they look like.

maybe all of us who want a shirt should contact thge band directly. if they see that there are many fans that can?t come to the florida show they will
think about selling them online. i could easily sell ten shirts over here in germany.
i guess i?ll ask mark when i get my record...

OK, I just dug up the thread with pictures of the designs so people can be reminded of what they look like. I'm wavering over whether I can afford 2

the shirts will not be going to press til laround the 10th, so if I could have all the orders back to me by say the 7th we should be in good shape....
and no special requests...
I will not be changing the shirt colors, or styles....
you get the same shirts the band is getting printed on the same colors in the same colors, I got no time for bullshit
