This is Killing me...

My kids discovered 'You Got The White Stuff', a song by weird Al.

Its an Oreo cookie parody of the song done by New Kids On The Block, 'You Got The Right Stuff'.

Now since I am a product of the 80s, and listened to the radio and watched mtv when they had videos, I remember this "New Kids" song.

Point is... All fucking day including now, I have that goddamn song in my head. Oh no, not the Weird Al version. No, the "New Kids" version. And no matter how much I listen to other music. I cant stop the tune from playing in my fucking heeeeeeaaaaaaad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks, I had the Transformers theme stuck in my head last week because I saw a guy with a t-shirt with the Autobots symbol on it.

Off The Deep End is a wicked album, I love Weird Al.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

That happenned to me once with that Tina Turner tune "Private Dancer", I was walking around humming it for a whole day, I'd catch myself once in awhile.

Awesome!

That is all.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I remember when I was a youngin and New Kids were all the rage. Mother fuckers were everywhere like dirty air; cards, figures with the stage and shit, lunchboxes.

Funny too cause a dude that I used to look up to (Who was a great athlete that turned out to be a bummy drug dealer and burnt his moms house down with her in it) used to own mad shit like that from NK and would listen to them allllll the time.

The one that used to kill me was the Spice Girls. When I worked at McDonalds we had a radio station playing music in the restaurant and while there was all kinds of shitty music, for some reason the Spice Girls would get stuck in my head all fucking day. I wanted to kill the people that programmed that station.

oh man, when the Spice Girls were at their apex it was nuts. I mean little girls were all over that shit. That was right about the time those battery powered spin pops came out and you'd see every 5-15 year old girl with one.

The technical term is "earworm", apparently.
