Things i've been enoying as of late........
The Spirit - i'm loving this book, it's fun, Darwyn Cooke's art and writing is perfect for this classic title.
The Walking Dead - this book has been pretty solid for the whole run, ZOMBIES!!!!!
Catwoman - i love this title, since it started.
The Lone Ranger - yup the lone ranger, gritty western about the masked man.

I stopped buying them years ago, but have picked some up over the last couple of years. Best thing I got was a six issue series by Mark Milar called
"Wanted." Sooooooooooooo good.

For the last good number of years I've only been reading Star Wars comics from Dark Horse. Great stuff going on there now.
We've got Knights of the Old Republic... sort of a spin-off of the Xbox and PC games of the same names and some comics from about 15 years ago called
Tales of the Jedi... set a few years before the first game takes place and 50 years after the last TOTJ comic. It's set 4,000 years before the movies.
There's a bumbling Jedi padawan(apprentice) that's been framed for murdering fellow padawans by their own Jedi Masters. So he's on the run, plus
there's the back drop storyline that features a hooded Jedi who is more than likely the main character of the first KOTOR video game. There's an
entire army of Mandalorian warriors fighting against the Republic, these are the guys that Jango and Boba Fett descend from. And there's the ominous
vision of a resurgence of Sith, this was seen by the Jedi Masters who framed the previously mentioned bumbling padawan. It's great fun. Artwork is
amazing, especially when it's Brian Ching on the pencils.
Then there's Legacy. What a great comic. Takes place 140 years after Return of the Jedi, and we've got a whole new Skywalker. He's no Luke Skywalker
and he's not really like Anakin either. He's sort of what Luke might have been had he turned out like Han Solo and become a drug addict. There's a
whole new army of Sith, a new Empire that's taken over the Republic and a new Sith Emperor. Cade Skywalker, the bounty hunter drug addict, isn't being
a Jedi because they are again scattered and he's running away from being his family's heritage. Part of the reason he drugs up is that he gets
visitations by Luke Obi-Wan style... all ghosty. John Ostrander writes it, and Jan Duursema pencils the major story arcs. Great artwork there too. Oh
and the new Empire is divided because there was a previously pretty good Emperor who is a fully trained Jedi that was deposed by the Sith. He acts
like a rebel and he's got a few Imperial Knights(Jedi who obey the Emperor first, the Force second) and Imperial military that backs him. The remnants
of the Republic are out there too doing the same sort of thing.

Dynamo 5 - shit i forgot about this one too, great new book its only on issue #5 right now, its about a womanizing superhero, who is found dead in a
hotel room, his wife (ex-gov' agent) finds his little black book and does some research and finds out that he has 5 kids with 5 different women, she
finds them all, activates their powers (from some radiation or something) and now they are a team, of strangers whom are all siblings.
its a good take on a super team, each of them getting used to each other and exploring their powers.
worth checking out for sure.

If you like the Punisher and have never read the Barracuda storyline from last year, you're missing a classic.

"Satan's Sodomy Baby" was fuckin twisted.
juandiablo: you're not the only one who liked that Punisher flick. I loved it. MOst people don't realize how much of that shit came straight from the
comics when Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon (the Preacher team) took over.
Speaking of Garth Ennis, you guys should check out THE BOYS... sick comic. Lots of superhero orgies, drug use, gore, and stuff like this...

Anyone check out Wolverine Origins??? That was great. Reveals his full backstory finally after 30 years of Wolvie. Just great, all the way back to
when he was a kid and his healing factor and claws and feral senses start kicking in.

The art is great. It's Adam Kubert if I remember correct. His art is way better with the new coloring methods. Back in the day with the old school
coloring system it seemed more sloppy.

The Punisher has been the only comic I've followed. The Cell was my favorite story arc.
