albums your surprised are as good as they are
Ive been listening to the 2 Misfits records with Michael Graves and they are both pretty good. Really catchy but still with a slight Misfits vibe. I
like American Psycho better than Famous Monsters, but they are both better than they should be!
What are some other records you have been shocked by the quality of?

I haven't heard any of these records fully. A song here a song there. They were cool from what I heard. I just can't for the life of me call them the
misfits without Danzig.

I like those Misfits records too.
I'm still amazed at how much I'm completely in love with the last Comeback Kid record.

^^^^^^^^^^ Ya same here. I bought WAKE UP THE DEAD used and went out and picked up the first and one and BROADCASTING. They are all stellar releases.
Good fucking band.
A nothign band I ignored but now like alot is WITH HONOR. Even the newest release is good.

Paradise Lost used to be a major favorite of mine.
Lost Paradise up till Icon. After that...just wasn't my cup of tea. Perhaps I'll look into this.

I love those two Misfits albums, I just don't think of them as THE MISFITS.

I caught them by accident... I was roadie for NRSV @ Hellfest a few years ago and they happened to be on right before, I was blown away. Grabbed Turn
It Around and loved it, then was blown away by each release since. I still listen to Broadcasting practically every single day.
Paradise Lost: Icon was pretty cool, didn't like anything after that. I may have to check out this new stuff.

I wrote COMEBAKC kid off before i even gave them a chance because they were a new band. Fucking stupid because they really are good.

So many people do that, they think they're just another shitty Victory screamo or chugga metal band or something. I've actually gotten people into
them just because they think it's so odd that I like them so much, they HAVE to see what its about.
Panzer: give that a listen but definitely go grab the other two.

When I first heard Turn it Around I wasnt so sure about it. Then it sorta grew on me and I enjoyed it. Now when I put it on I just can't listen. I
dunno why. I never bought their other albums. Ive seen them live since they put out Wake the Dead and they were alright. Kids were into them.
Me... not so much.
The first album that comes to mind that I was shocked by how good it was is probably the Punishment album Thorp put out. I bought it on a whim and it
just clicked with me for some reason. I listened to it every chance I had. I havent given it a spin in a while, but maybe I will soon.

i had only heard the name Comeback Kid until they opened up for the GB show. a couple songs into it, i was really impressed, completely
unaware that it was the guitarist filling in on vocals.
halfway through the set, the dude with the mic says, "alright now we're gonna play track number four off of that CD your friend burned for you".
crowd laughs a bit. some seem unsure if he's being a smart ass or a dick.
"naw, i'm just fucking around with you guys. i support all that. do whatever you need to do to listen to our shit, thanks."
i bought both releases seconds later and hurried back.
i was REALLY surpised by how much i liked BOTH, but that new one hasn't clicked with me.

Not necessarily the same bands, but I completely agree with the sentiment. And if I'd take the time to listen to Morrissey, I get the unfortunate
impression that I might actually like it.
