finally going to see DROPKICK MURPHYS for the first time.
Ya, I always thought of them as weak until around 2000. Then I got into them. Tried int he past to make the shows but either other shows kept me from
going or the fact that they played a really shitty WARPED TOUR kept me from going. Either way I'm siked.

you should take a flag.
people always seem to have flags at their shows.
big flags on long poles.

from what i understand, the first 2 shows were not so tight
they had visa problems and cook got into the country the day of the first show so there was no time to go through the set
by the time i saw them they were a few shows in and were fucking KILLER
one of the best shows i have seen in my life
you come at the king....you best not miss

i don't know how many places they played but someone i know who went to a new york show said that DKM was in clubs they weren't used to and the kids
couldn't join in with them and so they weren't as good as they used to be. maybe that changed.
note: my 1,000th post!

I heard the place we are going to see them at was recently remodeled. THE CLEVELAND AGORA THEATER. I guess they have some weird pit area witha
barrier now. Also they have more seats and they are supposed to be differrent angles. Hope this isn't a problem for shows like this.

Prepare for a VERY load show. I saw them last year (I think) and it was the lowdest show I have been to. I wish they would have turned it down a bit
but shit man, it is an awesome show.

Ever been to a Motorhead show, Chris? I thought I had seen loud shows until I saw them for the first time. From halfway back in the club, I could feel
the beat pounding against my chest as if someone were hitting me with it. Not in a "dude, I fuckin' feeeel the beat" kinda way, but in a way where it
was an actual physical impact. I've never been to a show that fucking loud.
The Murphys are a guaranteed good time. Even when Blackout came out and I was pretty burnt out on them and wasn't even interested in buying the album,
I saw them and was drawn right back into loving them. I bought the album at the show with the money I was saving for my lunch the next day.
I saw them at least twice with Mike singing, but I think it was three times for some reason. Anyway, those guys were fucking phenomenal at what they
were doing then. When Al came on board they had an entirely different thing going on which is great too, just not quite as much of an intimate
experience as seeing your favorite Punk band like they used to be. Now it's like going to see AC/DC or something. It's an event and a guaranteed good
time, but it's very different from the "in on an amazing secret" type of thing it used to be.

I will shamefully admit that I left the show before Motorhead got on stage. I watched Skarhead and Hatebreed and then met up with Mrs. Reed83 who was
my new lady at the time.

Motorhead are loud, but the all time loudest show I've ever seen was The Real McKenzies, I was out on the street and it was like I was standing next
to the speakers, I could hear everything crystal fucking clear. Live is the only way to truly appreciate DKM.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

^^^^^^ Actually for me I didn't even watch Hatebreed but 5 minutes or so. I spent my time at the bar and chatting it up. For SKARHEAD I watched the
entire set.

The Clevo show was great last night. drank too much and got home too late. DKM is so life affirming, but the day after seeing them, expect to drag ass
at work!

I will have to give you a sound thrashing for such a blasphemous act. How do you skip the greatest band of all time?
