the Pogues

on my quest to find all Pogues material at the used record store I have finally picked up Red Roses for Me. Still need "Peace and Love" and "Hell's Ditch".

This band has got to be FOR ME AT LEAST the find of 2007. Thanks to all on this board that turned me on to them. I never even gave them a chance until the THORP BOARD. I am jamming them out all the time.

man, and i thought I got a late start on this band.
shane had already left the band and just started the popes by the time i got into them.
i honestly can't imagine the past... 13 years without the pogues' music in my life.

I grew up listening to Irish music, when I got into punk I started hating all things not punk (I was 13), then the Pogues came along and made everything okay again. Shane McGowan is The Pogues.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

The song, Love You Till The End is awesome.

That is the only song I can get into with these dudes.

Very Shallow Side Note- In that vid BD posted Shane McGowan has some crazy assed teeth. Ah, my teeth are probably jacked up looking to him.
