Biggest musical suprise of 2007

lets be more posi.

I'd say my top two go to Death breath and Show No Mercy.

Way better albums than those two but thats another thread entirely and the year ain't done. I'm talking strictly stuff you got turned onto and were really impressed with.

WHITE STRIPES- not really a suprise I guess.

DROPKICK MURPHYS- I expected it to be a little more weak or commercial but it is a awsome release.

My new found appreciation of THE POGUES. With and without MacGowan. Seriously this band is awsome. I missed the boat with this one for a long long time here.

Also I would like to add that some of the bands on A389 records really kick ass. I am new to this new group of bands and this label so I am a little naive but they songs I ahve heard from those bands on the website are fucking awsome. EVERYDAY DOLLARS, of course WISDOM IN CHAINS, and many others. Almost every band had killer tracks on there.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

I actually like the more Irishy stuff on the new DKM a lot which was always the thing I didn't like about them....it seems like they really have fine tuned that aspect of the band...unfortunately those are only the first 4 of like 47 or howevermany songs are on that album.

I just did a review for Show No Mercy. Fucking love those dudes! Best new band I've found thus far in 2007.

most of the stuff i picked up / downloaded this year has been old so no real surprises.....
the new Joe Coffee CD is excellent though. If you don't know that much, you don't know too much.

My suprise for 2007 is the newest Public Enemy record.

I've always been a fan and have every disc they've done. But this last one is reminiscent of late 80s early 90s PE. Definitely the best thing they've done since that era.

Rose Tattoo put out a new album.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

The biggest musical surprise of 2007 will be if the Van Halen tour manages to last to the NYC area shows. I'll be amazed.
