Saturday, October 13, 2007
5:00pm ‘til closing

Hi Folks,

We have cemented the lineup for the Oct. 13th memorial show for Ron Holbrook of The Welch Boys, who passed away in his sleep on August 18th of this year.

The show will start at 5:00pm with a barbecue out back at O'Brien's. Tix will be $12 and I believe is 21+. Contact O'Brien's to see if it might be 18+.

There will also be a raffle.

1st prize: Jay Turser Fender Stratocaster Copy guitar
2nd prize: 2004 Red Sox World Series Bat
3rd prize: 2004 World Series Baseball
4th prize: 2004 Patriots World Champ Football (winner need not be present)
TIX: $5/5 for $20.
The profits of the show/raffle will go to Ronnie's two young daughters and their mother.

The night should be filled with special memories of Ron on video put together by Joseph Macon of I'm Macon Movies

In no order, the bands are:

The Blue Bloods
The Pug Uglies
Future Villain Band (Ron's high school band)
Shiner8 (another of Ron's earlier bands)
The Beantown Boozehounds
Sonic Bomb
Death & Taxes
and
The Welch Boys

Come join family, friends and loved ones on a night to Benefit his Children and celebrate his life and love: Music. Everyone is welcome.

thanks big d.

josh, i'm pretty sure ronnie's early bands are going first and the welch boys might be ending the night. there is no lineup yet. imagine the blue bloods, pug uglies, and the welch boys to be among the last though.

Hell yeah the show was a blast! Thanks Joe, TJ, Craig & all. As rusty as we (FVB) were we had a great time playing together again and putting away the Guinness. All the bands I got to see kicked ass. Great time for a great cause...

how many people would you say were there?

i don't know much about sports memorabilia, but i assume those items in the raffle were kind of big ticket items? certainly sounds like it. the person who won our item was probably like, "wtf?"!!

$4k at a single event. i really am impressed. in a situation like their's, i'm sure it'll go quick, but hopefully it helps somewhat.

it probably was a "wtf" situation with your stuff because the person who won, the mother of ron's kids knew them. they might enjoy it though. one of the discs has ron! the place has a 75 limit but people came and went and all the bands played for free and there was no guest list except for family members and everyone who played, or in my case, made a dvd got in for free. the place was packed. tickets for the raffle were sold for before hand and people and going.

hahaha...i was afraid that would happen!
well, as long as they bought raffle tickets, that's what really matters!

true...and if they don't want them, they now have presents for kids. who knows...if the kids like that mall punk shit out now, they might enjoy some real punk/hardcore tunes.
