Going back to work after a month off...

Tomorrow is my first day back to work since September 29th. Ive been out on a leave getting paid by the temporary disability insurance for a month. It was for a combonation of stress overload/depression and some problems with my elbow. The elbow issue is Radial Tunnel Syndrome & Lateral Epicondalitis. Basicly its tendonitis in the elbow and a pinched nerve in the forearm. I have a brace and Im going to therapy for it, but its getting better. The stress issue has gotten a lot better and Ive managed to lose 21 pounds by walking and eating better too. I just have to keep myself on a healthy routine.

Im a little nervous about going back tomorrow because people will ask questions and its the job that caused my huge stress issue. I just need to take a deep breath and take is slow... wish me luck!

Thanks man... I gave alot of thought to just quitting, but the job pays to well to leave without having a plan about what to do.

Good luck man! I'm going back to work tomorrow too, but just after a week off for vacation. It was much needed, but not nearly as much as it sounds like you needed it. I'm glad things are looking up for you and I hope it keeps on that path.

Man I feel your pain. Every year I take a months unpaid leave from my job to go on tour. And I can honestly say that coming back to work after that month is the worst week or two of the year. Its so god damn depressing sitting around in work when I know that mere days ago I was in a van hurdling towards some shithole town, low on gas, low on money and low on knowing where the fuck I was but theres no bad times till I get back to work.

I would honestly rather be in a car crash than be in work. The amount of times I've wished for a car to come speeding around the corner and clip me on my way to work or some shit. I don't wanna die, I just don't want to work for a few months.

Thanks Mr.Reed. I got the DVDs you sent and I havent really gotten into them yet because I dont want to do anything that might screw up my arm worse, but I plan to do them daily once Im healed up. The weight loss so far is based on just walking 2-4 miles a day and eating MUCH better and MUCH less.

Ive been eating 6" Subway turkey sandwiches or grilled chicken salads from McDonalds for lunch almost everyday.

Thanks for all the support!!!!

wow, good for you, honus.
if anyone asks, just tell them about your arm.
you've got the brace to show for it!

and congrats on the 21 pounds, that's awesome.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Fantastic and I'm glad the DVD's arrived. Definately wait until the arm heals. BD's been mastering the Diverbomber Push Up recently as well. He is going to give me a run for my money. I just know it.

Just keep it up Man. You are doing great.
