Ok, SO FOR SOME FUCKING REASON

MY ITUNES HAS DELETED OVER 25 GB OF MY MUSIC. GONE. WHAT THE FUCK?

Anyone have any idea on how to get it back? They were all my own cd's. Yesterday all I did was add another cd and hooked up the new printer. Nothing else. FOR SOME FUCKING REASON MY MUSIC IS ALMOST GONE. I have only like 6 gb left.

I am just learning iTunes. Everything in my library was at least duplicated. I am not a big fan of this program. I'm a total Windows Media Player fan.

The only thing I can think of is, did you check your recycle bin?

Oh shit, what about going back to a restore point? Let me know if you need help with that. Assuming you are using a PC.

I had mine go crazy on time when i received an update. All my music is on my computers hard drive, so I just re-synced it with my ipod. It took about 8 hours to put everything back on the ipod. About 60 GB worth. I still not sure what caused it how to prevent it from happening again.

CR83, once you get used to iTunes you'll like it a lot more than windows media. It's SO much easier to organize/edit/update song wise, especially with the tagging if you DL a lot of stuff.

I've never has anything delete like that Clevo, hopefully you had it backed up. I have all my files backed up in that iTunes library thing AND have the entire library and its playlist info backed up to an external. The most I'll ever lose outaside of some catatrophe is a couple gigs of recent non backed up albums.

are you sure they've been deleted? itunes doesn't delete anything without asking you first.

it's very possible that itunes can't FIND your audio files, in which case, you just haveto go in to you preferences and tell it where they all live on your computer.

my point is, are you sure its gone.

just because itunes says it can't play a song or it can't find an audio file doesn't mean it's gone.

look through your C drive.
use the search tool to look for band names.

There is no list of the bands at all. No info. Nothing in itunes. Its empty like it never existed. I will look in C drive right now.

Clevo- you can't just restore iTunes. You need to do the whole PC.

Run a search on your PC. Start- Search- Now type in a band name or album. It will give you results and then click on the icon at the top of that search window just to the right of the folders icon. Select "details". FOllow that to where you music lives.

I have XP so it may be different in Vista

Speaking of type did you know there is a type of meat called "trype" saw it written on the back of a meat truck a while back.

Thanks for all the help yet again.

I got it restored.

I found the folder like you all said to in C drive and then deleted the rest from itunes. Then added the entire file back into itunes. The artwork is now being loaded.

I am now happy again.
