Soultamer
Check out this band. Dudes from a few different bands from Holland, including the singer from Discipline.

the myspace tracks are imo better than the last two discipline records.

I'll have to check this out, but that is a stupid name.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

Knowing that it's fronted by that terrible vocalist from that horrible band makes me even less likely to listen to this than does the name which
sounds like something a christian Metal band would have.

Blasphemer. | That's me!
You have to admit, even though you completely disagree with my point about Discipline, I'm dead on about the band name.

Oh yeah, the band name licks balls. Music ain't bad though.
Just curious, what's the last thing from Discipline you listened to? I only ask because if it was the earlier stuff when he was trying a more gruff
vocal approach I could see why you might not like his voice. Just wondering if you've heard anything off of the last few albums.

Hell is for Heroes is a fuckin' wicked tune. I'm listening to Downfall of the Working Man at work right now. Its pretty much a Thorp day actually, got
The Disasters and The Welch Boys queued up.

| The only one I actually own is Nice Boys Finish Last and I've only been able to force myself to listen all
the way through a couple of times. My former roommate had a bunch of their stuff burned on a disc that he would play occasionally until I would ask
him what the fuck that shit he was listening to was. I've also listened to their songs on myspace and I believe there is or was one on the mp3 page
here on Thorp for that Downfall Of The Working Man album. I honestly haven't heard anything from them that I liked at all. I did try to give them a
chance since I know some folks, both here and in the real world, who dig 'em, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

Still no mention of Badlands? Damn, you guys seriously need to check out Badlands. I could be wrong, but I think Soultamer has guys from Discipline,
Badlands, and Razorblade (who I haven't heard, but I have heard good things bout them).

Myspace for Badlands and Razorblade. Not the Badlands songs I would've chosen, but what are you gonna do...

Badlands are awesome. I actually like them a lot more than Discipline. And Razorblade are pretty killer too!

Soultamer has two vocalists, Joost from Discipline and the dude from Badlands. I like Badlands but don't think they can touch Discipline.

So, out of boredom, I checked out Badlands, Razorblade, and Soultamer and couldn't find anything I would choose to sit through again. Badlands were
the best of the bunch, but those songs all sounded like they would be filler from a better band. Razorblade was too generic and stereotypically
skinhead and Soultamer lost me with all those lengthy intros that sound like the soundtrack to a fantasy video game. I listened past the intros, but
it never got any better.

You say that like its a bad thing. | Y'know, for some of the first wave Oi bands it worked. I can still go
back and listen to stuff that's all about being a rough tough skinhead who drinks beer and wears all the right gear, but modern bands doing that same
lyrical approach are laughable and boring. I guess it's just the fact that there are some old bands who created the cliche which makes it acceptable,
as opposed to bands nowadays who are just rehashing the same old cliche bullshit because there's a built-in audience for it.

I don't see how ya can make every single song on a record with just a chorus.

I know what you're sayin', I'm just yankin' your chain.
Check out "The Agitators". they're from Belgium I believe, don't know if there still together but they put out some good generic pogo-rock, but still
managed to have their own "sound" so to speak.
