"special edition" DVD release UNapreaciation!

It seems like no matter how long you wait after a movie comes out on DVD to buy it as soon as you get it the next better version comes out. I know that the companies want to make as much money as possible, what WHAT THE FUCK!?

Ive bought the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 times already and today I see 'the Ultimate' edition which is 2 discs. Mother Fuckers!!

Yeah, that shit pisses me off too. Star Wars is probably the worst culprit.

After that happened to me a bunch of times I've become more careful about what I buy. Certain movies you're safe with, because you know there won't be another 20 versions of the dvd to come out. When Sin City came out I waited because I knew there was going to be a better version, and I was glad I waited when I finally got the deluxe edition.

I just cant beleive that a 25 year old movie can KEEP coming out with new stuff on it! I saw a new version of Taxi Driver and Apocalypse Now today too!

I bought NAPOLIAN DYMAMITE and the very next day they released the new one. I was pissed. I paid 20 and it went down to 15 and it had all the new stuff with it.

yeah, that sucked. i didn't wait and that deluxe edition is top notch.

i've heard that there's supposed to be some new edition of Kill Bill with it in chornological order like the Sin City deluxe.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kill_Bill

Quote:
"The Whole Bloody Affair"
A special NC-17 rated edition of Kill Bill which will include Volume 1 and Volume 2 edited as one film ("Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair") will be released on 4 DVDs some time in late 2007 or early 2008. The film will run fully at 247 minutes (4 hours and 7 minutes).

Differences in Japanese cut

While the American cut of the movie shows the violent battle at the House of Blue Leaves in black-and-white, the Japanese cut shows it in color. In addition, the Japanese cut includes a few extra bits of violence distributed throughout the film, most notably during the anime sequence and the showdown at the House of Blue Leaves.

Furthermore, the Japanese cut shows the Bride cutting off Sophie's other arm during her interrogation. This creates a continuity error, as Sophie still appears to have one arm as she rolls down the hill toward the Hospital in a later scene. These cuts were made to the U.S. version in order to avoid an NC-17 rating.

I love all the films this guy has done, probably one of the most important film makers of our generation. I would put money on a Grindhouse special edition with both films in one set and all the "adds" they had in the theatrical versions. I love when Tarantino and Rodriguez get together, they genrally lean towards horror when they collaborate :)
