chasing amy

what a lame movie.

Sorry K Smith I like most your movies, but this one sucks.

On a side note Joey Lauren Adams is way hot.

I really like all the Kevin Smith movies (including Jersey Girl) and I like Chasing Amy. Its definitly way more of a 'chick flick' that the others, but I like it anyway.

*Side Note: Joey Lauren Adams is toppless in the deleted scenes of Mallrats on the DVD.

She's topless in the regular movie too. The scene where K Smith breaks into the bathroom?

chasing amy is a good film, just not typical K. Smith
but as an artist you don't want to make the same movie all the time about farts and fisting...
sometimes you want to do it from a chics point of view
and girls talking about fisting is way cooler then guys talking about fisting

Chasing Amy is pretty good. The best parts are the black power comic book writer that's really gay and the whole exchange about Star Wars and Darth Vader.

I love Chasing Amy. It's not like his other flicks, but it had a real-life type of view and humour as opposed to some of the over the top humour of his other flicks. Like Dave said, the funniest stuff was the black dude and the stuff about Star Wars. I'll also add in the argument about Archie comics.

It's actually one of the best Kevin Smith movies in my opinion. Same sense of humor just not as much focus on the stoner shit which I think is the most boring part of his stuff anyway.

^^^^^^ Ya I had it on vhs but I haven't bought the dvd. MALLRATS is my favorite of all his movies. And yes I do love the topless scene. IS the one on the collectors dvd better than the original? Or is it the same?

The acting sucks in it. It seems to me a film that was put together very quickly and actors like Ben Affleck and JOey Lauren do not fit well in there parts. It seemed to fake and used. The the writing seemed to forced as well. Like trying too damn hard to be cool or should I say gay? Also the intensity that Ben was supposed to feel for her seemed like it came out of nowhere. No substance ot why he really loved her. It was like bam I love you. NOt this is the reason. Even though he explains it. It seemed too unbelievable.

JAson Lee however was the awsome as usual. THat dude can act.
