The CIA , the War on Terror, and Heroin
This is an interesting subject I've been researching for a while now, seeing as how the heroin supply has grown enormously in my area over the last
few years. As of 2007 Afghanistan accounts for somewhere near 92% of all opium production in the world. Since the Taliban have fallen, who were
against the production of opium, the market has opened up wide for afghani warlords, who early on during the incursion into afghanistan recieved US
money and support for allying with us against the taliban regime. Also to be taken in account is the fact that before the CIA involvement in the
Soviet-Afghan war Vietnam, Cambodia, and the surrounding region were producing the majority of the worlds opium supply. I am interested in knowing
how or if heroin usage has grown in some of your areas, and seeing if its not just a local trend for my area.

Philadelphia has the purest Heroin on the street from what I hear/ read.
I've seen several old friends die from the shit since the mid 90s.
It's a bad idea to hop the H train in Philly.

Your research could take you down to Central America and the CIA's current involvement in Columbia and previous involvement in countries like
Niacaragua or Panama for example.
Check out these articles and see how they weigh:

Both from the guy who runs From The Wilderness and a former LAPC Narcotics officer according to his resume. He's got tons of links specifically on
CIA & Drugs on his official site, http://www.copvcia.com
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I can't dispute any of this, but the high and mighty do no wrong in the eyes of Allah Taliban is now DEEP into the opium trade themselves to fund
their Jihad against Coalition Forces in the region. Fucking Hypocrites, just like the rest of us.

My neighbor is a high school teacher. She was telling us heroine is the real deal in her school. This is a upper middle class, public, suburban
midwest school. They kid gets hooked on the junk and then "they leave school because we are told to tell people that they got 'sick' ." Pretty sad.

I think this is definetly why its so bad right now. You have groups on opposite sides of the conflict both using opium as their cash cow to fund
their factions and fuel the civil conflicts going on. The CIA has been up to no good in South America for a while now, Dark Alliance by Gary Webb
is an excellent read on the whole Reagan/Contra/Cocaine ordeal. Its interesting to see how drug production and the CIA seem to always go hand in hand.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely type shit. Being a former addict and dealer myself I have had an interest in how the drug trade functions, and
after losing a friend to heroin earlier this year, having another end up in a coma, and a few locked up. I decided to really educate myself as much as
possible. I feel that drug education and awareness, are something that is swept under the rug far too much in this country. "Just Say No" was a crock
of shit, ignorance should never be policy. Hell New Jack City was more informative and educational then any D.A.R.E video I ever saw in school.
Talking cartoon joints and needles going out and trying to lure in unsuspecting kids? Come on! I got a little sister whom I raised thats hittin that
age where shes gonna start to be exposed to drugs and I be as honest and informative as possible when I talk to her about this kinda shit.

all you who lobby against making drugs legal. Just
like you did with alcohol during the prohibition.
You're the one who's guilty. I mean, c'mon, let's kick
the ballistics here: Ain't no Uzi's made in Harlem.
Not one of us in here owns a poppy field. This thing
