Philly people
I'm tempted to drive up and check out some of the sites on American history... basically the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the National
Constitution Center. It's only a two-hour drive for me, which means I'll probably do this on a whim one day this week.
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier looks good, too.
My question... any other places I should check out?

I've lived on the outskirts of Philly for 33 years and never been to any of them places....

They seem to have some seriously odd shit. I thought it was going to be a Ripley's Believe It or Not place when I first looked at that page.

I have a habit of never checking out these kind of things when I live near them, since I always say that I can check it out later. I'm debating
whether or not to move in a few months, which makes me realize that I might as well check out some of these places now.
Probably also going to check out the Holocaust Museum in DC, which I've heard is really good and really, really, really depressing.

how random. I've wanted to go for years, and am finally going next weekend.
I'm only going to have about an hour to kill, is that enough time to see everything (or atleast everything worth seeing)?

the mutter museum is a classic, but lesser-known philly attraction.
the nice thing about those historical spots you rattled off (indy hall, bell, etc) is that they're all in the same place. they're literally on three
blocks in a row laid out like a giant park.
if you're into the historic colonial stuff, there's also elfreth's alley and the betsy ross house, which are no more than three or four blocks from
the constitution center. (walk along arch from the center towards the river. her house is between third & second. then turn onto second to find the
alley.)
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Oh and can't forgot about Edgar Allen Poe's house. I think it's on 6th and Spring Garden or a couple blocks down.
