Change of plans

So some of you know that I recently moved to Denver and have been playing bass in my brother's band Fight Like Hell. Well, my brother got asked to play drums in Death Before Dishonor and he got the spot. His first tour is in a week and half with Sick Of It All, Madball, & Wisdom In Chains.
So we'll be moving to the East Coast in June...specifically Philly. After I get settled I'll be camped out in front of Lucky's eating 2 foot cheesesteaks if anyone wants to join me.

first off, congratulations to your brother. that great news. please give him a shout out form the thorp board.

now for the questions...

- where does that leave fight like hell? they've been making quite a name for themselves.

- why are you moving with him? (sounds like a dick question, sorry.) i mean, was moving to colorado in part to be closer to your brother, so you figure since you're already uprooted from Memphis, may as well go to philly?

- Why Philly? isn't DBD based in CT?

- How much BBQing are you and Joe HC gonna be doing?

- When should we meet for that steak?

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

1- FLH is breaking up in March after the tour in Feb with Steel Nation

2- I'm moving with him because I moved to Denver to be with my brother because before that we hadn't lived in the same place for 8 years. We are a team, The Goddamn Murphy Brothers (a straight up ACDC / Van Halen / Skynyrd style band of the same name is in the works)

3- Philly because Boston (where DBD lives) is too expensive and I don't really have any friends that live there. My brother can take the train up to Boston. Besides they tour so much that he'll hardly be home anyway.

4- hopefully a lot.

5- ASAP

I went out to Denver a few years back, the people out there were amazing. I've never met so many positive people in my life. Such a strange place for my masshole friends to move.

by the way, I'm wearing an "as we speak" shirt, as we speak.

I think it was James (namedrop) from Killing Kings who told me they were breaking up. Kinda sucks. I was into them.

Theres got to be some dive bar in Philly we can all meet up at.

yup, they are both awesome people. and some of the best friends you could have. Steve has been one of my bestest bestest friends for many years. I don't consider it name dropping because I've known since the "mullet" days. Let me know if you ever need any black mail photos for either of them ;)

CONGRATS to your BROTHER for landing that gig. And you for being so tight with him. That is a awsome gig to have. What a fucking tour to start on too. Good luck on the move and everything. Hope the other band you guys have gets going.

ON a side note.

Do you like Colorado? I think I asked this before, but if you have to time. Give me a heads up on life out there. Where is a good place to move to. Jobs, housing, etc. The wife and I are thinking of moving once I graduate. Colorado is one of those places we are considering. Never been there I just think it would be a great place to raise a family. What do you think since you ahve lived there?

- yes you will hear from CF again...we're working on finding a place to record the new album. It is savage.

- Clevo...I'll say this about Denver...it will be a vast improvement over Cleveland as far as cleanliness, safety for your wife and kid, and quality of schools. It's a really nice place but sometimes it's too nice and suburby for me. People name their kids Teagan and Foster and Addison out here. Regardless, like I said it's really clean and nice. Being from Cleveland you'll laugh at what people call a "bad neighborhood" out here. As far as jobs go, I'm not sure because I got a job before I got here so I didn't have to look.

Too bad about Fight Like Heel. Congrats to your brother though. Philly will be a big change from Denver.

Can't wait for more CF tunes.

^^^^^ Thanks for the info and best of luck my friend. If any of your bands or brothers bands play Cleveland let me know. I'll make the show and buy a beers or 3.
