This will always remain my favorite sick of it all album

Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.

Sick of it All for sure
Blood For Blood was solid start to finish, even Serenity is great.
I wish I could say Raised Fist but Sounds of the Republic was terrible. The 10+ years before that though were awesome.
Blacklisted has been great right from the demo, haven't heard the latest 7" yet though.
Guttermouth never lets me down, every album is good. I even warmed up to Gorgeous which I hated for a long time.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Not alone. As a matter of fact, I don't even own Just Look Around on anything other than a cassette. I absolutely LOVE the early stuff and say they still put on an amazing live show, but no matter how hard I try I can't get into any of the albums after JLA. I think the only thing they've released since back in the day that I own is a CD single where they covered a Sham song. I thought that album was gonna bring me back to them, but it was a clunker too.

As for bands I see as consistently good, I would say Poison Idea comes immediately to mind. Fucked Up are on that list, Career Suicide, Antiseen, Bonecrusher, The Briefs (although not technically active), U.S. Bombs/Hunns/Gunfight, Darkbuster, Street Dogs, Dean Dirg, Henry Fiat's Open Sore, Laughing Hyenas/Easy Action, Hard Skin, The Hatepinks, Hudson Falcons, (in the hope that they will continue to put out albums which I have no doubt will be as amazing as these first two, I'll say )Joe Coffee, Kings Of Nuthin', Nine Pound Hammer, Real McKenzies, Sons Of Hercules, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, and a bunch more I'd like to name if they'd just release some more.

Believe me...I don't think BTL is a classic SOIA album either...that's just the last album I even cared to listen to. If they stopped at JLA that would be just fine by me...I'm as baffled at people liking anything past that as I am with people actually believing B4B released a good album past Revenge on Society. Or even worse...people thinking Outlaw Anthems is a good album.

Cool to be you has some really great songs on it.

Unrelated note: can you really count a band with only one or two releases as being consistent? I think you need more time to see where they go.

It's got to be a bare minimum of three, but realistically 4.

,my original post said bands active for over 10 years... but I think that 4-5 releases is the minimum too
