Jay Reatard - Blood Visions

I've been listening to this album nonstop for the past couple of weeks. This is seriously some fantastic garage/punk/pop/rock/psych/etc. It's rare that I come across an album in this vein/style that I can honestly say I like as much as say Danzig-era Misfits or some of the truly amazing classic garage albums.

I thought his other stuff was ok.....Reatards were ok when in the right mood and Lost Sounds had some really great stuff mixed up with a lot of not so great stuff. "Blood Visions" is all kick ass though.

Memphis, right? Yeah, visions is getting him some exposure - hell, he was even in SPIN! He's also had some major labels courting him. Such a great album, I hope he can keep that level up for another 20 albums or so.....
