Zombie inside
Sometimes a simple doodle can turn into a finished piece. Id draw a few sporadic lines and it just builds from there. I first came up with a zombie
head and after many hours I came up with this. I think im going to get it printed on canvas and hang it in my window on Halloween.

That would make a great Tshirt...
You should check out www.FEARWerx.com and see if maybe you can do a design for them.

yeah man
basically I was approched by the main guy to do some work for fangoria
when he saw the quality and prices, he moved forward with his own line of stuff...being fearwerx
we have printed every shirt they have ever done,
and some that are not on the site and were sold exclusive thru diamond comics...
if we would have moved to Brooklynn instead of LA we were going to share a warehouse with them....
but it's 72 degrees right now under perfect blue skys, the birds are singing and IT'S NOT FUCKING COLD

Thats amazing! Did you color the thing yourself? I am currently in the market for a comic book colorist if you wanna try out let me know.
mahbrain@gmail.com the comic is about a drunk Irish zombie so you'll feel right at home.
This is something i put together for some Tshirts the other day. Steve is printing them as we speak.

I didnt draw it (Adobe Illustrator) but I can draw too. Though I only have crap online to be honest.
Also Steve I'll be hassling you for Tshirts for Diamond comic distribution for my own stuff in the next few months again but in larger numbers
hopefully.

Dude diamond is a shit hole....
they have scaled back their clothing to be only big licenses stuff and super heroes as far as clothing
for each size shirt, they need at least 1500 units to be sold before they will actually process the order, if not they cancel it...
per size....
that is fucking nuts, basically if you are not huge don't come knocking
they actually drop us (fearwerx) last summer as we were only doing about 1500 pieces a month...
1500 shirts were not good enough for them...
they are douche bags who have a horrible monopoly on the market and run their warehouses like shit
I'm not saying don't try to market to them, but don't get your hopes up...

Ah they aint for selling, they are promo shirts for stores that order a certain number of our comic. Fuck Diamond. They are scum but they are the only
show in town so everyone is fucked. Its close to impossible to market a comic without them if you ACTUALLY want to sell some copies. I you are just
doing it for fun or whatever then you wouldn't go near em.

it's not a monopoly in the typical sense....
but good luck getting your products into comic stores without them
comic nerds are lazy and diamond gives them a 1 stop shop for everything they need for the strore...
so why loook elsewhere for product...
you can present goods but it's more of a waste of time then anything
why do you think 99% of comic shops look the same and sell the same project even though they are maily privately owned...
as for the bears this is just one design of many in a series but this will probably be the only greatful dead design...
if you think about it I jsut gave it away without saying anything...

There have been a few companies try to start up something to rival Diamond but none of em have succeeded to any degree. Diamonds rules are insane
though. Theres a minimum of 5000 copies of any book to be printed. Now an up and coming book like ourselves has no chance of selling 5000 copies.
Possibly 1000 or maybe even 2000 at a push. But all the money we are have to pump into this just to get it off the ground means that the money we'll
spend on those extra copies that will most likely never sell we could have used for promotional items or a special guest cover artist. Even to get a
barcode off them costs like a thousand bucks. And its not a regular barcode either otherwise we could get em for free. So im told anyway, im still
looking into the whole thing.

So Diamond is the only place to get a barcode for a comic book?? If thats the case then THAT is a monopoly.
