another TV question... HELP!
Ok... so I found a possible TV thats on sale today and tomorrow.
its a Hitachi 50" 1080 Plasma HDTV. $1279.00
The guy I talked to at the store said that as far as the NON Hi-Def stuff goes...
that a plasma works on similar technology to a tube TV so any NON Hi-Def signal will look the same as it would on a tube TV. Does that make sense/is
it true?
It also says that it has NTSC/ATSC/QAM Tuners. What does that mean?
My biggest concern is that the NON HD signal stuff look okay. I know it wont look like the HD stuff, but I just dont want it to look bad and people
told me that on some HD TVs that is the case.

post the tv's model number.
then google the tv's name and model number with the word 'review' and see what comes up.
did you see the tv play SD in person?
plasma and tube technology are wildly different. in fact, that's one of the dumbest salesperson quotes i've heard yet.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
