I don't see the point of this movie. Celebrating the life of a complete fucking idiot. If he had half a brain he'd be alive and well today. No sympathy from me for this fucking tool.

Based on this quote I recommend the movie "Grizzly Man" to you.

That sounds good. I'm going to check that out.

The reason for my comment on Into The Wild is because the guy didn't have to die. He wasn't that far from an outpost and could have easily made it there and still be alive today. I was watching an interview with some park rangers working there and they were quite open with their thoughts on howw stupid the guy was. He came with no experience living in the wild and minimal equipment. Had he spent even 10 minutes talking to people in town he would have been better off. The biggest problem is they now have other people who were "inspired" by the story wanting to try the same thing and putting themselves in danger.

I respect the guy's desire to just get away from all the BS of civilization... but yet, talk about an idiot. How much would a wilderness survival class cost him? Next to nothing.

YA it was a crazy move but your missing the pont of the movie and what Sean Penn was trying to make. I alos believe it was the main reason why he did this crazy thing.

It was about leaving all the lies and bullshit behind. All the fake and weakness behind. Dude was just fed up with lies and deceit. I am not defending him as a aweseom person and I also think it was a very stupid move but when I got into the story of why he was doing this I was way more fucking impressed. The explanation made this story and not the actual action of what he did.

Separate that and you get where I am coming from.

O and if you haven't seen GRIZZLYMAN get that right away and be prepared to be floored with bewilderment.

How on earth someone got to be so gay is beyond me. So gay he didn't even know he was gay. Now that is gay. So gay he had to run away and live with bears.
