IS THIS A FUCKING JOKE? Ebay shirt bid

I have been into 7 seconds since I first heard them 1989 this same record WALK TOGETHER and saw them for soulforce revolution and ourselves tour. This shirt supposedly was from 1986 from the walk together record. I wanted this and almost bid on it. That is until it went up to $42. And the bidding is still not over. I am thiknking of bidding jsut ot get this guy more money from these morons who are actually bidding. I would risk my account and rep just to fuck these douchbags over. I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK? $50+ for a used shirt?

I think that is crazy. I mean $40 is a ton for a used shirt. ITS FUCKING USED!!!!!!!!

$100 is beyond insane. I guess doing somehting like HONUS is then it makes sense but I want to wear the shirt. Not display it as a relic. ALthough thats not a bad idea now that I think of it. The dude thats bidding is from Japan.

I saw an old Cro-Mags shirt from the Age of Quarrel tour go for over $150. I wouldn't pay that for a new shirt, let alone a 20 year old shirt that looks used.

Ive spent a lot on shirts and I always try to get XL or bigger incase I wanted to wear them (if I lost a bunch of weight), but they are really just for a collection.

The problem is that when you go back that far, they probably didnt print as many shirts. Kids didnt really know that stuff could be valuable so lots of shirts just got destroyed or thrown out.... because of all that the ones that are left will fetch a pretty penny from people that really want them.

What I dont understand is why dont more bands reprint old designs that they KNOW people want??

Slapshot does it... they do the mask, the mask/bones, the bulldog etc. but not a lot of bands do it and its to bad!

Not sure if you were attracted to it for the 'vintage' apeal, but after I said what I said about bands reprinting old designs.... I kind of rememberd that I have a 7 Seconds shirt from when I toured with them and Slapshot. Then I was looking online and I found this, its not exact, but its close and its $15.99

what is worse then old shirts selling for that much is NEW shirts selling for that much

it all started with the damn american nightmare zip hoodies selling for like 200.00 on ebay while they were still making them

and now there are bands like cold world who make shitty fucking music
but only make like 25 per design of their shirts and make them impossible to get...and kids eat them up

it has a lot to do now with bape and other gay ass clothing companies

the problem with reprinting old bands stuff is people do make them, but try to sell them as old,
they go buy shirts at the thrift store to print them on, and the bands never get a dime

and it's worse for the skateboarding scene

old boards sell for upwards of 2-3 grand.... depedning on how many were made back them
and there are shitty companies doing repros of them...
and the shirts are just as bad...

and while we are at it fuck records collectors....
and fuck merch and fuck everyone

I don't understand some record collectors. I get the impression that many of them only care about having a cool collection, as opposed to loving all the music they own. I only buy stuff I want because I love the band. A couple of times I've bought stuff I hate but only because I got it for pennies and turned around and sold it for a ton.

Along the band merch, the other shit I hate is when a band puts out a 7" with 30 fucking variations. They'll have 10 different covers and 50 different colours. I saw a post on another site where a guy was showing off his collection, and the guy had more then 20 versions of one 7". Funny enough, I think it was American Nightmare. I can understand doing two colours and covers or something, but it's gotten ridiculous.

I had a bolt thrower WARMASTER tour shirt that i LOVED.
Got too fat for it, so i gave it to my roommate at the time.
He still has it. Still wears it. And people who are down freak out when they see it.
Juan probably had one, too.
They go for a good $50.

I've got an old SubHumans "Religious Wars" shirt layin' around somewhere, its got some holes in it though, I've got some powerful pit sauce when I get a sweat on. I don't think I've got anything else that survived from those days. We used to just screen our own shirts in art class anyway. Lets hear it for stoned hippy junior high art teachers.

might have been a shill bid, honus.
the winner only has a feedback rating of one.

write to the seller and tell him/her 'if the winner flakes, i'll take em for my previous high bid'. that gives them and out if it is a fake bid and you he goods at a fair price.

they are jsut a middle man
the merch is produced at other locations and they are just selling it.
so whoever prints one 7 second design may not be the same company that prints a different one.

"Here at Merch.com we receive merchandise from a variety of sources. Often times the items are sent to us directly from the bands themselves."

so basically it's sitting there in a wherehouse and these guys are getting 5 bucks to ship it to you...
