Carrie Nation?

Anyone know anything about this old band?

I was looking on Amazon and I found this....

http://www.amazon.com/16-Valve-Hate-Slapshot/dp/B000007XV6/r...

Its a CD called 16 Vale Hate, but the graphic shows a picture of Carrie Nation. I THINK its just a screw up, because its even listed as being on Lost & Found, but I guess theres a slight chance that it could be a CD where Carrie Nation covered all the songs on 16 Valve.

I looked up Carrie Nation, but cant find much. They have a myspace, but it hasnt been logged into in over a year.

carry nation were one band of dan mahoney. they released one 7" on workshed records in 89, which was rereleased on l&f sometime in the nineties.
simple hardcore with bad production in my opinion. not worth buying.

the amazon offer shows the carry nation cover, i think it´s only the wrong picture for the slapshot cd.

I thought he was talking of the same band but I wasn't sure with the spelling. I thought maybe it was a YOUTH OF TOGAY thing or something mocking CARRYNATION.

CARRYNATION wasn't bad but I thought SPEAK 714 was much better which came out after CARRYNATION.

I think Carry Nation were one of Dan O's best bands, right along with No For An Answer and 411. Much better than that crap Speak714 band. I was hyped when Speak714 first came out because I had followed Dan's bands ever since NFAA, but that was the first one I never even took home, just listened to it at the store and left with a bad taste in my mouth.

SPEAK 714 was good. Not great, but good. Ya 411 and N4AA are good as well. Dude can write good lyrics.

Speak714 was definitely the worst of Dan's bands. Don't get me wrong, it's not like they were Madball or Smurf Crisis or something ridiculously terrible like that, they were just boring as fuck.

Carrie Nation where good. Had the drummer from Insted. NFAA where also good. I liked the first Speak714 EP but not the second. If you can even find the NFAA LP CD it has the Carrie Nation EP on it. It's way out of print and I sold mine years ago. Good stuff.

I've never heard any of the bands mentioned in this thread.

My bad, I spelled it wrong.

Im assuming that its jsut an error on Amazon and that its NOT a full CD of Slapshot covers.
