Thats probably why they covered a GB song and did that rip off cover art.
I remember seeing the singer (I think) on MTV Cribs and he was showing off his record collection.
They had Ian the old MTV VJ on Cribs too and he had a nice record collection.
semi-related.... is AFI a band like NFG too? Like they think they are hardcore or used to be hardcore or something? I never got into either of them.

I was never a NFG fan but I am curious to hear their take on that Shelter song.
I'm the only AFI fan on this board. So I dont think they're alike at all. AFI used to be a punk band (not Hardcore in my opinion), that went in a
different direction and hasnt tried to be something they're not. In fact I give them respect for having Sick Of It All open shows a year or two ago.
Trying to help out one of their long time friends and favorite band. I feel the same way since DKM took out SOIA on tour.

They actually do have street cred.. Chad Gilbert was in Shai Hulud. He's the vocalist on the International Superheroes of Hardcore and the guitarist
of NFG.
Catalyst also featured Toby Morse and the dude from Bane doing back-ups. PLUS the ISHC record had that track with Madball.
Just because YOU guys don't like them doesn't mean they don't have any cred within the scene.

I heard the ISCH record that came out today. Some of it is hysterical... like the song about wearing a seatbelt, but some of its kind of lame. I like
it way better than I like NFG though.

ISCH is one of th ereasons this garbage sucks so bad. Ya the shit does rocl but it is a slap in the face to people who enjoy hardcore. This mockery is

defense for them. They are just terrible. They should have been in those college fratbohy movies. AMERICAN PIE 2 or whatever. WEAK AS FUCK. Just like

Good Clean Fun is WAY better than the ISHC stuff that I've heard at least.
As far as the 'Hot Topic' press goes.... I wouldnt blame NFG for it or hold it against them. Its Bridge 9 that put out the record so I'm sure its was
the lable that made the deal with the store for an exclusive version. B9 also did some special version of the Crime in Stereo release that was for
Newbury Comics.
Chad Gilbert being in Hazen Street just makes me dislike him even more. That record was shit (my opinion) and I think that it was done in an attempt
to 'sell out' and make some cash. Not a very 'hardcore' move for a couple of guys from Madball.

I like the HAZEN ST cd. Its weak, but its good in my opinion. It has some good hooks.
GOOD CLEAN FUN had gred and this douchebag the only cred he has is he plays music and can be used by those who have the cred. Like those GOOD
CHARLOTTE FAGS. Seriously, they are tools for the masters of the craft to use. That is all they are. Pawns in the game. Good Charlotte tries in
desperate attempt to get cred by starting shitty label to fund new h2o and madball side project. SO they can wear DMS shirts and front like they are
special while wearing makeup for teen mags.

Hazen St were ok. I wasnt into a good bit of the album. But that track 'Written' on that cd really hits home to me. I like the cd based on how good
that one song is.

I like old AFI as well, haven't got into the last 2-3 releases though.
