they had some hits, but the politically view of ian makes this band unlistenable for me.
i decide "hate them".
...but i must say, i hear them once in a year...

indifferent.
I don't know nuthin bout them except their reputation and the phony nazi kids in my hood growing up thought they were the tits.
I heard a few songs here and there, which i liked the sound of and all but never really took the time to listen closely.
perhaps some of you could email me some noteworthy tracks....

Love em', can't stand anything he did outside the band.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

hate...

my appreciation of their decent first album is shadowed by their later participation in sketchy politics.

Only this year could I actually acknowledge some of their early songs as amazing....I feel guilty for having them on my ipod.

LordActionWood, i'm surprised by your response! as recently as last year, i can recall you turning away from me in disgust when i mentioned how much i enjoy their 'alabama' 7"! ha!

i don't love them, but i'm not indifferent. still deciding how to vote...

Indifferent because I've honestly never listened to more than 1-2 tracks sometime 10 years ago.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

This is almost exactly how I feel about them, except that I've still never even gotten a burned copy or mp3s of that one album. I've actually felt a little conflicted just because it showed up in the recommendations list on Amazon for me. As recently as a year ago I would have just said "fuck that shit" and deleted it from my list, but I'll admit that I've thought about grabbing it if it came up used for cheap on there.

Never bothered to listen to them. Don't agree with their politics but as far as a band goes I'm indifferent.

I'm going with indifferent because I don't hate or love them. The song blood and honour is great. I have no idea what it is saying but musically I dig it. I used to listen to it over and over while playing Mike Tyson Punch Out.

the 70s stuff is flat out great, as good as anything from that era: i dont like you, anti social, breakout, backstreet kids, a case of pride, etc etc. those first three singles and the all skrewed up album are killer, as is the boots and braces ep. as for the later political stuff, no thanks. tho i will admit some of those songs are catchy as hell
