i don't think dkm is hardcore punk though, that's all. there are a number of boston bands that had a much harder punk sound then them.

dkm is punk. they're a lot more celtic punk recently. i just don't really see the hardcore punk except when they do hardcore covers. sorry. my opinion. if dkm gets in then i've got a giant list of boston punk bands that should be listed.

thing is where does one draw the line

i think anyone, be them "punk" or "hardcore" who has made a big impact on this culture(and whether some people like it or not, all this is rooted in punk rock) they should be a part of any sort of list made.

honestly i dont either
but one could look at it like there are few punk bands in the last however many years that have made the kind of impact they have
so i could see how one would think they may have a place although personally i dont

if we wanted people who made important contributions to the scene, then it shouldn't just be hardcore legends. it does get confusing. i won't argue with you. but if we're gonna include punk i'm gonna include dkm members.

I wouldn't, but someone else here might. I'd buy a deck of these hardcore legend cards....we'd need 52 and it could be done. Jimmy G would definately be a joker....

it should be the whole thing as one thing.
it gets too weird when someone says hardcore.
cuz like alot of people think hatebreed is hardcore and to me it sounds like shitty shitty metal with some baseball hat wearing jock screaming over it.

so thats why im thinking as a whole as opposed to splitting it up into classifications

i have no beef with dkm being in
i wouldnt put them there but im cool with it if they are

Rob Lind would top my list, maybe the ace of clubs, and you know what Lemmy gets.

I'd put Iggy Pop in there.
That's just me though.
Iggy's pretty hardcore as per definitionof hard core
