Supreme court. No death penalty for Child rape.

The excuse is that no death penalty has been imposed for someone who has not murdered. Please someone must tell these liberal douchebags that rape is murder that the victim continues to live with. Murder of the childs innocence.

it's true, rapists should not be sentenced to death, that's not enough punishment for them, that would be an easy way out... rapists should be put in prison for life and TORTURED every single day in the most horrific way posible... I consider only that punishment would make justice for the victims... the law is always thinking about the murderers and rapists human rights and that's bullshit, what about the innocent victims human rights being taken away by these monsters? those people deserve no pitty, they should suffer the worst for destroying childrens live forever...

I don't believe in the death penalty for any crime really. I mean, I reserve the right to change my mind if something truly horrendous happened but it would have to be big. Really big. Like hundreds or thousands of victims big.

My opinion is not to suggest that some crimes are troubling but I don't think we as a people have the right to take another person's life as punishment or for any other reason. Lock em up. Get em away from society. Let prison rules apply to the people that deserve to be butt raped for the rest of their life. But I don't believe that any person has the authority to end another life.

Locking them up rewards them with free food, and a roof over their heads, all of which is insanely expensive and paid for by the taxpayers. I'm all for the death penalty for murder, rape, and child abuse.

It costs just as much if not more (in the US) for people on deathrow to go through the legislative process with appeals and all as it does to hold them in prison for life.

I'm not really sure that life in prison can be considered a reward. I suppose a reward would be getting away with it.

If it was my child they wouldn't have to worry about prison. I would kill the fucker myself.

Does anyone know anything about statistics on that crime? My assumption would be that the offender is usually a family member. Maybe a parent or creepy uncle or something.

I wonder if there is info out there on that.

totally agree on that... taxes should be invested in better education, better health systems and things that are really useful to good and honest people, not to maintain these scumbags alive, those people don't give back nothing good to the rest of the world, they only cause damage and expenses to others...

there are millions of people, specially children, that are homeless and are lucky if they eat once a day and we spend money feeding and giving shelter to killers and rapists? why? fuck them, let's help the innocent people who actually need some help and deserve it...

I've seen it floating around somewhere, but statistically any sexual crime is going to be committed by someone you know.

I agree that the death penalty is not the way to go...
the criminal jsutice system is too flawed for us to have the right to take a life

but...
there are far worse things then death...
how about we make prision into just that....
modern day fucking slavery to make people fucking really regret what they have done as well as pay there debt
make those bastards work for it, send them to detroit and rebuild the auto industry teach them a trade but don't pay them a dime...

Prison system often is pretty much a slave system these days.

Not sure that's the solution.

i wouldn't say i'm pro or anti death penalty.

my main concern lies in the integrity of the cases and convictions.

hearing "rape of a child under 12" really gets me fired up.

the same goes for shit like Andrea Yates.

I am pro death penalty and think child rape fits the kind of crime that warrants its use. I don't feel the need to go into detail as to my stance because to me it's cut and dry, no questions necessary.

Execution, a man in a mask with a big fuckin' axe. Why should their death be humane? They forfeited their humanity when they committed their crimes.

False. Atleast around these parts.

You can sit back in your little room and watch TV all you want. You can also buy all sorts of yummy things from the canteen all you want with no limit. Obviously you need cash to do this, but there are other ways than working to get some. Easy enough to find a 'purse' on the outside. Inmates share the letters they have written that have worked to hook said 'purse' to help others stay afloat.

Not all prisoners live a life of hell, but also not all prisoners deserve to either.

• Pedophiles have a strong, almost irresistible, desire to have sex with children. The average pedophile molests 260 victims during their lifetime. Over 90% of convicted pedophiles are arrested again for the same offense after their release from prison.

• 2/3 of all prisoners convicted of rape or sexual assault had committed their crime against a child.
- BJS Survey of State Prison Inmates, 1991

• Like rape, child molestation is one of the most underreported crimes: only 1-10% are ever disclosed.
- FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin

• The behavior is highly repetitive, to the point of compulsion, rather than resulting from a lack of judgment.
- Dr. Ann Burges, Dr. Nicholas Groth, et al. in a study of imprisoned offenders

• 94% of child rape victims under the age of 12 were abused by a family member or an acquaintance/friend.
-The Arizona Rep. 3/30/97.

Most perpetrators don't molest only one child if they are not reported and stopped.

Nearly 70% of child sex offenders have between 1 and 9 victims; at least 20% have 10 to 40 victims. (23)
An average serial child molester may have as many as 400 victims in his lifetime.

since Louisiana can't give them the chair, they'll need to get their balls.

Quote:
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Signs Sex Offender Chemical Castration Bill

Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana spoke out over the Supreme Court ruling that was issued yesterday, calling the ruling an "affront to the people of Louisiana". He took it a step further today and signed a Sex Offender Chemical Castration Bill.

After yesterday's Supreme Court decision saying that child rapists cannot receive the death penalty, Governor Bobby Jindal vowed to do whatever is possible to amend the state laws so that the death penalty would be the punishment for child rapists, and as of today he has signed into law the authorization to castrate convicted sex offenders.

There will be a choice between chemical castration and physical castration.

Chemical castration is where hormonal medication is used and it acts on the brain to inhibit hormones that stimulate the testicles to produce testosterone.

Physical castration, for men, is the removal or destruction of one or both testicles with chemicals or surgical procedures.

California was the first state to use chemical castration as a punishment for sex offenders and other states such as Florida, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, and Montana have all experimented with chemical castration laws for sexual offenders.

According to the Jindal release which was reported by the conservative website, RedState:

SB 144 by Senators Nick Gautreaux, Amedee, Dorsey, Duplessis and Mount provides that on a first conviction of aggravated rape, forcible rape, second degree sexual battery, aggravated incest, molestation of a juvenile when the victim is under the age of 13, or an aggravated crime against nature, the court may sentence the offender to undergo chemical castration. On a second conviction of the above listed crimes, the court is required to sentence the offender to undergo chemical castration.

Jindal's intent is to send a clear and concise message about, to which his statement addresses by saying, "I want to send the message loud and clear – to the Supreme Court of the United States and beyond – make no mistake about it, if anyone wants to molest children and commit sexual assaults on kids they should not do so here in Louisiana. Here, we will do everything in our power to protect our children and we will not rest until justice is won and we have fully punished those who harm them.”

HURRAY FOR Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.

It is nice ot hear someone outspoken abou this issue. It pisses me off that more people are not vocal about it. Its as if it is so sick and demented of an issue that most people ignore it.
