Today's playlists?

What are you pencil pushers listening to today?

For me:
Elliott Smith "From a Basement on a Hill"
Paul Westerberg "49:00" x3 so far
Paul Westerberg "Open Season"
Paul Westerberg "Mono/Stereo"
Paul Westerberg "Suicaine Gratification"
The Replacements "All Shook Down"
John Lennon "Milk and Honey" (with the Yoko songs removed)
John Doe "A Year In the Wilderness"

Wait In Vain - Seasons
Ambush! - American Monster
Battery - EP Collection
From Autumn To Ashes - Too Bad You're Beautiful
Sinners & Saints - The Sky Is Falling
Caliban - Vent
The Ambition - Heavy Are The Lungs

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

So there is somebody else on here that digs Drag The River. Cool. Have you seen 'em or how didja find out about 'em? They are one of the few bands that comes through this tiny town of ours. Or at least they were, they used to come through pretty often but it's been a while. They put on a hell of a fun show.

They played in NH a few months ago on their last tour. I hadn't heard much of them before that, but I really like em.

I need to get my hands on that new album. If it's half as good as It's Crazy was it's gotta be brilliant. I've talked to some of those guys a few times when they've come through and they are some genuine good people too.

Sex Pistols, live off the board recording, Sept. 12th 1976. Came into to work today and it was sitting on my desk. Sweet. Followed by CockSparrer "Here We Stand".

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?
