When are they gonna bring back The Funk!?

I was just thinking about how musical trends come in cycles... so I wonder when the early 90's trend of adding 'funk' to any style of music is gonna come back?

we can all do without it. Unless its James Brown or P FUNK or EARTH WIND AND FIRE.
