it's oddly organized for a total pig pen. I wouldn't even know where they would sit/sleep. How could the neighbors not smell that? How could no one
notice the rodents that would inevitably live there to?

That's some nasty shit, this is why they have inspections for rentals here every 3-6 months. I hate it but it prevents shit like that.
