BOLD show review

I got inside to see only the last song of Have Heart (INSIDE OUT cover done very well) and missed THE FIRE STILL BURNS but heard they were great.
I thought it was going to be sold out, but to my surprise, it wasn't and I was happy, who likes a jam packed Cb's as it gets warmer outside?
Anyway, TRIPLE THREAT was great, first time seeing them since the YOT reuinion last June and have become one of my new fave HC bands.

MENTAL - I have never been a big fan (not into the singer's vocals) but I must say they were really really good. I may even buy the new ep they put out, despite the fact that I bought and then sold the "Oxygen Tank" cd last year.

BOLD - Having never seen them growing up I was really excited when they hit the stage and for the most part they kicked ass. I consider Tom Capone to be one of the greatest guitarists to come out of NYHC, but for some reason, we was not on the top of his game at all last night. He had several guitar problems that were not his fault (kids jumping all over the stage etc.) but his playing overall just wasnt there. The new drummer (sorry I forgot the his name) was really good and Tim "Eternal Youth" Brooks sounded fine. Matt seemed to be really happy to be on-satge and said a lot of thank you's which were very sincere.

BOLD did every song you would have wanted to hear, including 2 CRIPPLED YOUTH songs, "United We Stand" and "Positive Scene", the closer was "Wise Up".

Overall, I look forward to the next BOLD live set, I'm sure they will sound even better.

M.

WHY I MISSED THE BOLD SHOW by Big Duane

I'm sure this will only cut the mustard with Gabe, Danny, and a few others, but... I was grilling.

I missed this webcast. DAMN. I fogot BOLD was doing this. I heard they may do some sort of small tour but that is just a rumor.

The guitarist for Bold was sloppy. I drank too much beer and had to piss really fucking bad starting from the Triple Threat set, so once Bold stopped playing I bolted out of there. I had tried to get to the bathroom in between bands, but it just wasnt happening.
