my new idea/design
This is really rough, but I think its a good idea. I just dont really know how to make the names an actual circle insted of 4 seperate archs that dont
line up 100%. Also, I dont think its high-res enough to print as a shirt and I dont know how to fix that either.
I would like to do 2 versions. One thats like this, but with the names in a better circle and any glitches fixed up and one like that, but with the
names Marky, Mikey, Chrissy, Jackie.

Use illustrator and do a live trace on it, you'll get hi res then no stress.

I get what you're saying, but those are not all tribute bands.
I guess most bands have done stuff that other bands did first.
The Dropkick Murphys have a shirt with crossed hockey sticks on it.
The Bosstones basicly took the bulldog from the Slapshot shirts and put devil horns on it.
and hundreds of other bands have duplicated ideas as well....

Yeah it is a time for rip offs. At some point we will do our AF shirt with Chucks instead of combat boots (get ready Steve). Go for it.

Yeah... the converse in place of the boots doing an AF parody is awesome and will totally sell!
And it doesnt matter at all that Mental (another Boston band) did the AF shirt with Nikes in place of the boots and like Panz just posted The Ice
aparently made almost the same shirt as Mental did.

Yeah, never said it was the most original idea but ours will still look different enough from those.
I'd like to see the Clenched Fist one if anyone has it.
We'd have "Boston Hardcore/Punk" in the circle type around it.

The beltones one is pretty cool (kinda too photo-realistic for me). It's on their myspace. I think we'll still do a small run. I know I am not
knocking them off, and if it's already been done, so be it.

Bands really need to stop ripping off other bands' logos. All the ripoff logos were "hot" like 10 years ago (other bands and retail stores, etc).
Shit's just totally beat now.

I think its just a matter of opinion really. I know that alot of people dont like them, but I think most of them are funny. Plus if you can take a
cool band and combine them with the logo of another cool band than thats like getting to wear 2 cool shirts at once. Just my opinion though.
