Lift The Curse is amazing, I still listen to it atleast twice a week. Sweet album cover too.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

^^^^^^^^^^ Fuck ya it does. I had the colored 7" with skarhead, the MUSHMOUTH and OUT TO WIN releases. They went down hill in my book though.

Same band, same sound, different name. I think it had something to do with a copyright or something.

I still got that split with Skarhead somewhere, picked it up in Buffalo at Warped Tour along with the 25 Ta Life/Skarhead split, both transparent it's cool.

^^^^^^^ I had that too. The MUSHMOUTH/skarhead was BLUE and the 25 ta life/skarhead was yellow.

IF you got that and don't give a shit for them list it on ebay. If I remember correctly I got nearly $30 each for them. That was back in 2003 I believe.

The album they put out before Lift the Curse with the Boxers on the front was also really good. I saw them play with No Retreat and Strength for A Reason in Toronto one time. The show was amazing.

I always thought it was because of legal issues with Fat Albert's Mushmouth.

of course not. But in terms of copyrights/trademarks, does it matter whether or not Fat Albert's character Mushmouth had a band?

They changed it because no one was taking them seriously with the name Mushmouth.

Edit: Didn't type out my whole thought. The name definitely didn't give the right impression of the band. I know a lot of people who just assumed they were rapcore.

Dug Mushmouth more than Out To Win, loved the style and rage behind it.
