when i get depressed they are good

just take a look at the papers
your leaders
they\'re killers
they\'re liars
what they do in your
name to make the bodies pile higher
the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever
as we sit band and smile
at the script they sell us
but now the victims, they\'re rising
their numbers\'s multiplying
they want their revenge for the years
that they\'ve been dying

I love that new song, 'Don't Take Me For Granted' or whatever it's called. That song is fucking awesome. I've always loved Social Distortion, at least the first album and a few others. It's ok, MrBad, as far as guilty pleasures go, this is a good one.

Yeah, if you want the more Punk stuff go for Mommy's Little Monster or if you really like that early sound they had, pick up Mainliner. As far as their later, more Rockabilly stuff I'd recommend the self titled album.

Mike Ness is a hell of a songwriter. I've been listening to them for 15 years or so and they've never dissappointed. Everytime I listen to "Somewhere between heaven and hell" and the self titled album it takes me back to my high school days. Whenever I practice with my band we play "making believe". Damn! It's 7am, I just got out of work and now I feel like drinking a 12 pack and putting on the s/t CD. Cheers!

Live at the Roxy. I think it really captures everything for them and it sounds awesome.

^^^^^^^ even those songs that made them big like ball and chain and shit are really good. I have never bought anyhting after that record in 1990 but after this thread I will check out that white light and the new one. Not one person has complained about the new record since it came out. It must be that good.

I love social d. I was lucky to get into good shit when I was young and social d was one of the first bands I was really into. King of fools is one of my favorite songs, but I think Lost Child is on my top 5 of all time songs by anyone.
