work issue, need advice

My supervisor is going to issue me a written warning tomorrow for something I dont feel I was in the wrong for. I am allowed 3 written warnings before getting fired. I do not get along with my supervisor and have been stressing an unbelievable amount over the last 3 days about the meeting I'm having tomorrow with her. I dont think I can go on working at my job any longer so im actively looking for a new job. Would it be worth fighting the written warning or should I just take it and move on and continue to look for a new job??

I don't enjoy my job anymore since the new supervisor was assigned. I am the only male out of the staff members who run the shelter and who attend our weekly staff meetings. Its definitely awkward. Its like every week someone is in PMS mode. I fucking hate it.

Is this the same job you posted about before? Wasn't it the same problem back then, or was that a coworker instead of supervisor?

I'd still go in the meeting and tell her what happened and your side atleast and if she is not receptive call her a cunt and walk out :thumbup:

I'm inches away from doing the same but leading up to Xmas with 2 kids and rent is kinda hard to do that now but I totally want to do that & then some. Like push people out windows and stuff... but yeah. Moving on.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I'm still going to have the meeting. She'll be here in about 45 minutes. Act all cheery and shit and then drop the warning on me. Calling her a cunt and leaving is tempting.

If you know you want to get out of there soon and it would take 2 more warnings to get fired than I wouldnt fight it. Just sign off on it and be done with the stress of it. I would however make sure you say in the meeting that you are signing the warning, but you dont agree with it.

Woman bosses are terrible. Sorry, not trying to sexist but I have never ran accross a woman boss that treated employees fair, well, etc.

There's your problem.

Answer = leave.

Well the meeting didnt go over so bad. I basically did what Honus said. I signed it and discussed my standpoint on the issue and why I handled it the way I did. She said it wasnt all bad and there was some good things that came out of it on my end and how I eventually resolved the issue with the house residents and she said we would work on "conflict management" techniques so I dont end up in this situation again which is fine because I'm all for taking a pro-active approach on the situation. Before I left I said " This is the best birthday gift I got all day" and she said she felt bad she had to issue the warning to me on my birthday, which was a kinda nice feeling :). Also after my meeting I went to the store to get some beer and pizza and found $20 in the parking lot. Perhaps today wont be such a bad day after all.

That's how I would've handled it. Take the warning, but look around and see what's out there for other jobs. I'm the union stewart and have to deal with shit like this all the time. I tell my guys all the time that when dealing with the customers, don't bother arguing with them. I tell them that if they have a miserable customer, be over the top happy. Smiling and whistling and singing stupid songs. Then what are they going to do.....call your boss on you saying thier employee was too happy. Don't give them the bullets to shoot you with. Happy Birthday....glad things worked out for ya

Yeah your approach turned out better than my idea haha, happy birthday. Was she hot? Could have invited her out for bday drinks :)

a move to Cali would probably be to expensive and I'd have no where to stay, unless you have a spare room for me :P
Any chance they would let me do work from home for them?
